Purnia, Sushant Kumar, December 25th, 2024: A horrifying incident has come to light in Purnia, where a mother, embroiled in a love affair, has allegedly murdered her two young daughters. Additionally, her boyfriend, who was also her nephew, died under suspicious circumstances. The tragic event took place in the Kanouli Balwa Toli of Amour police station area in Purnia district.
The victims include Sazia (4 years) and Dileara (2 years), daughters of Mohd Akhtar, and the accused’s boyfriend, Mohd Taukeer (16 years), a resident of Raily Balua Toli. The entire village was shaken by the brutal killings, and the news spread like wildfire after the police were informed. Upon receiving the report, the police reached the crime scene, seized the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem. The accused woman was also arrested from the scene.
Confession by the Accused Woman
According to the woman’s confession, she had been in a romantic relationship with her nephew, Mohd Taukeer, for the past two to three months. Her husband had been working in Punjab, leaving her alone at home. On the night of the incident, she claimed that after having dinner, they all went to sleep. At that point, her boyfriend called her and asked her to meet him. She went to him, and the two reportedly engaged in inappropriate acts before jointly strangling her two daughters to death.
After the murders, the woman claimed that her boyfriend, overwhelmed by guilt, said, “We will both die now. What will my family say?” However, the woman responded, “I still want to live.” Subsequently, the young man reportedly hanged himself, resulting in the tragic deaths of all three individuals. After the incident, the woman informed her father about the murders at around 3 AM, and he subsequently alerted the police.
Investigation and Arrests
The police, upon reaching the scene, confiscated the three bodies and sent them to Purnia GMCH for post-mortem. The woman was arrested on the spot.
The elder brother of the deceased youth, Muzaffar, has raised suspicions about his brother’s death, claiming that his brother was murdered as part of a conspiracy and that it was not a suicide.
DSP Aditya Kumar from Baisi stated, “The woman has confessed to killing her two young children in the context of a love affair. The young man appears to have died by suicide, but the matter is still under investigation. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the woman has been arrested. Additionally, her brother-in-law has also been taken into custody for questioning.”
The police are continuing their investigation, and further details about the case are awaited.
