Pawan Kumar, Jehanabad, December 25th, 2024: In a significant move, 46 police personnel in Jehanabad district were promoted today, as part of an initiative to strengthen the police force. SP Arvind Pratap Singh held a meeting with all the officers at the Gram Complex building, where he issued important directives and emphasized the significance of performing duties with utmost sincerity.
While addressing the media, SP Singh mentioned that the police headquarters had granted promotions to 37 PTC officers to the rank of Sub-Inspector (SI), six existing SIs were promoted, and three constables were elevated to the rank of Training Sub-Inspector. He expressed his congratulations to all the personnel who were promoted and urged them to perform their duties diligently in their respective fields.
SP Singh highlighted the progressive changes in the police department, pointing out that advancements in technology have made police work more efficient. “Earlier, it would take hours for police to reach a crime scene, but now with the government’s 112 emergency number system, officers can reach within 10 minutes,” he said.
The promotions, according to SP Singh, would make the department’s functioning more efficient, especially in rural and remote areas where police presence was often limited due to a shortage of personnel. He assured that now, with an increased number of officers, police would be deployed in various wards and panchayats, ensuring better coverage across the district.
Singh further added that the enhanced manpower would expedite the processing of cases. “Many cases were pending for months due to delayed investigation, but with more officers on duty, the case diaries will now be submitted to the courts on time, ensuring quicker justice delivery,” he concluded.
The promotions are a part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the operational capabilities of the Jehanabad police and improve public safety and service delivery. The district police force, under the leadership of SP Singh, is now poised to better address the challenges in maintaining law and order and ensuring a swift response to emergencies.
