Katihar, Jaiprakash Bhagat, 6th January 2025: Unidentified thieves targeted Gauridih Primary School in Ward No. 14 of Rauniya Panchayat under Barari Police Station, breaking into six rooms and stealing valuable items. This incident highlights the growing audacity of anti-social elements active during the winter season.
Thieves Target School Once Again
According to the headmaster, Dilip Kumar, the school had closed for two days on Saturday for classes and Sunday due to Guru Nanak Jayanti. On Sunday evening, children playing in the schoolyard noticed that some of the classroom doors were open and informed the villagers. Around 5 PM, the villagers alerted the headmaster, who rushed to the school and discovered that the locks of six rooms had been broken.

Items including rice, lentils, salt, oil, tables, an amplifier, microphones, a horn unit, and other equipment were stolen. Additionally, the lock of the Anganwadi center on the premises was also found broken.
Repeated Incidents of Theft
The headmaster revealed that this was the third theft at the school, with two prior incidents already reported. Late Sunday evening, the Barari Police were informed, and they are now investigating the matter.
Demand for Justice
Dilip Kumar has urged the authorities to thoroughly investigate the case and take strict action against the culprits. He emphasized the need for swift action to prevent further such incidents, which tarnish the sanctity of educational institutions.
