Hajipur, December 9, 2024, Vikas Kumar Ojha: A high-level meeting was held today at the East Central Railway headquarters in Hajipur, headed by General Manager Chhatrasal Singh. The meeting was related to seamless coal transportation to NTPC’s thermal plants. Thereafter, the General Manager inspected the progress of construction projects being undertaken by IRCON, RVNL, and RITES within the East Central Railway zone. The Additional General Manager Amrendra Kumar was present in the meeting, among others.
In his address, Chhatrasal Singh stated that accelerating the development and expansion of infrastructure within the zone is the priority. He ordered the monitoring of on-going construction projects and infrastructure development works to be regular and vigorous so that all the programs are completed in time. The projects reviewed were:
– Son Nagar-Garhwa Road Third Line (92.79 km)
– Neura-Daniyawan New Rail Line (42.2 km)
– Jaynagar-Bardibas Rail Project (69 km)
– Kiul-Gaya Doubling Project: Special emphasis given to complete the outstanding Nawada-Tilaiya section of 17.32 km part of the 123 km project at the earliest.
Further, there were detailed deliberations over the status of other key projects under the zone. Chhatrasal Singh again cautioned that the delay in execution reduces the operational efficiency of East Central Railway and optimal utilization of resources.
