Mithilesh Kumar, Rohtas, 7th April 2026: Public anger over the shortage of domestic LPG cylinders spilled onto the streets in Rohtas district, as villagers blocked the Ara–Sasaram State Highway near Kali Temple in Nokha. Protesters placed gas cylinders on the road and raised slogans against the administration.
According to locals, they have been unable to get LPG cylinders despite waiting for several days. They alleged that even after repeated visits to the gas agency, they are only being given assurances, leading to growing frustration among consumers.

The protesters accused the gas agency of arbitrariness and negligence, claiming that the concerns of common consumers are being ignored. As a mark of protest, they blocked the main road, disrupting traffic movement completely. Long queues of vehicles were seen stranded on both sides of the highway.
Upon receiving information, local administration officials reached the spot and pacified the protesters, after which the road blockade was cleared.
The villagers have demanded that LPG supply be restored at the earliest to provide relief to the public.
Meanwhile, Sasaram Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr. Neha Kumari stated that there is no actual shortage of domestic LPG and sufficient stock is available. She appealed to people not to panic.
