Gopalganj, December 18, 2024, Namo Narayan Mishra: In a shocking incident, a young man was brutally killed by unidentified criminals in the Gopalamat village under Thawe police station limits. The deceased has been identified as Sikandar Ram, son of the late Sukhram, a resident of Gopalamat.
According to reports, the criminals lured Sikandar Ram out of his house late Tuesday night by calling him. They shot him and then brutally crushed him with bricks before dumping his body outside the village. On Wednesday morning, villagers discovered the body and informed the police and his family, causing panic throughout the area.
Sadar SDPO Pranjal confirmed the incident, stating, “The murder took place in Gopalamat. The police recovered a bullet shell and a live cartridge from the crime scene. Following the SP’s directives, an SIT team has been formed, and forensic experts and a dog squad have been deployed to expedite the investigation.”
The police assured that the case will be solved soon, bringing justice to the victim and his family. The brutal nature of the murder has sent shockwaves through the region, raising concerns over public safety.
