Patna, December 22nd 2024, Vikas Kumar Ojha: In a significant move to boost investments, the state government has announced the appointment of nodal officers for every 5-10 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) across 11 key sectors. These officers will act as a single point of coordination, facilitating investors in securing land and obtaining necessary clearances, ensuring a seamless process.
Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena stated, “Our endeavor is to ensure that all signed MOUs translate into actual investments on the ground within a year.”
The nodal officers will work under the close supervision of the State Investment Promotion Board, which will periodically review their progress. This proactive mechanism is expected to enhance accountability and streamline project execution, addressing potential delays and bottlenecks efficiently.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to ease of doing business and aims to position the state as an attractive destination for investments. Officials are optimistic that this step will build investor confidence and foster economic growth, paving the way for rapid industrial and infrastructural development.
