Buxar, December 22, 2024,Dheeraj Kumar: A devastating road accident on Sunday evening claimed three lives and left two others critically injured on the Veer Kunwar Singh Bridge in the Industrial Police Station area of Buxar. The accident occurred when a speeding truck rammed into the rear of a tractor, splitting it into two.
The collision created chaos at the scene, leading to a massive traffic jam with trucks lined up on both sides of the bridge. Local police quickly initiated relief operations. Traffic DSP Razia Sultana and Sadar SDPO Dheeraj Kumar arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Using a heavy-duty machine, the damaged tractor was removed, restoring normal traffic flow on the bridge.
Eyewitnesses reported that both the truck and the tractor were traveling from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar. The tractor, carrying hay and several laborers, was struck violently by the speeding truck. The impact was so severe that the tractor was completely destroyed, leading to the instant death of three individuals, including the truck driver and two laborers onboard the tractor.
Sadar SDPO Dheeraj Kumar confirmed the fatalities and stated that efforts are underway to identify the deceased. The injured were rushed to the Sadar Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
The tragic incident underscores the dangers of reckless driving and highlights the need for stricter enforcement of road safety measures. The police are investigating the case further.
