Patna, December 23rd 2024: Vikas Kumar Ojha: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has embarked on the much-anticipated ‘Pragati Yatra’, a state-wide tour aimed at engaging directly with citizens and evaluating the progress of government schemes. The yatra will cover all 38 districts, providing an opportunity to address public grievances and ensure the proper implementation of welfare initiatives.
Focus on Ground-Level Development
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar emphasized that the yatra’s primary focus is to review the impact of flagship programs like Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali, Saat Nischay, and Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal. The initiative also seeks to identify and resolve challenges in education, healthcare, agriculture, and rural infrastructure.
Kumar is scheduled to interact with beneficiaries of government schemes and gather direct feedback. “Our aim is to understand the issues people face and address them effectively,” he said, underlining the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
Senior Officials and Ministers Join the Journey
The Chief Minister is accompanied by senior officials and cabinet ministers during the yatra. Their role is to resolve public concerns raised during interactions and ensure effective coordination between the administration and citizens. Pragati Yatra Schedule:
- December 23: The journey begins with a visit to West Champaran’s Bettiah. After arriving by helicopter, the Chief Minister will assess ongoing projects and hold a review meeting with officials. He will stay the night in Valmikinagar.
- December 24: On the second day, Nitish Kumar will visit Motihari in East Champaran, returning to Patna in the evening.
- December 25: Christmas holiday; the Chief Minister will stay in Patna.
- December 26: Visits to Shivhar and Sitamarhi to assess developmental progress in these districts.
- December 27: Inspection of projects in Muzaffarpur district.
- December 28: Concludes the yatra with a visit to various parts of Vaishali, returning to Patna by evening.
