Mithilesh Kumar, Rohtas, May 15th 2026: A shocking murder case has created panic in Bihar’s Rohtas district after the body of an 18-year-old youth was allegedly dumped in the courtyard of his house in Bikramganj late Thursday night.
The incident took place in Muktiganj locality under Bikramganj police station limits, where unidentified persons allegedly killed the youth and later threw his body inside his home premises. The brutal killing has left the family devastated and created tension in the neighbourhood.
The deceased has been identified as Dablu Kumar, son of Nandu Yadav, a resident of Muktiganj. According to family members, the teenager worked as a labourer alongside his father and played a crucial role in supporting the family financially.
Relatives said W Kumar had been missing for the last four to five days, causing growing concern within the family. Late Thursday night, his body was suddenly found lying in the courtyard of the house, leaving family members in shock.
The family alleged that a rope noose was tied around his neck and multiple injury marks were visible on his body, raising suspicion that he was murdered elsewhere and later dumped at the residence.
Family members denied any known personal rivalry or dispute. They described the victim as a soft-spoken and hardworking young man who spent his days helping his father earn a living.
The tragedy has further deepened the suffering of the already distressed family. According to relatives, the victim’s mother had left the family nearly six years ago, while his younger brother died of snakebite three years back. The family also has a daughter whose marriage preparations were reportedly being managed through the hard work of the father and son.
Soon after receiving information, Bikramganj police reached the spot and sent the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem examination. A forensic team also visited the crime scene and collected evidence.
Police have registered a case against unidentified persons and launched an investigation into the murder.
