Jehanabad, Pawan Kumar, 13th December 2024: Tension escalated at the Jehanabad District Collectorate on Thursday evening when an altercation broke out between ADM (Investigation) Vinay Kumar and Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sonwan village under Ghosi police station. The situation required Deputy Development Commissioner Dhananjay Kumar to intervene. Following the incident, ADM Vinay Kumar filed an FIR at Nagar Police Station, accusing Rakesh Kumar of obstructing official duties.
Incident Details
According to ADM Vinay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar had visited his office regarding an ongoing investigation. The matter pertains to an FIR previously filed against Rakesh Kumar by Panchayat Technical Staff Ranjeet Kumar, which is under scrutiny. Allegedly, Rakesh Kumar demanded the investigation favor him and sought action against Ranjeet Kumar. ADM Vinay Kumar stated, “Rakesh Kumar has repeatedly contacted me through calls and WhatsApp, issuing threats. On Thursday, he came to my office, became aggressive, and used abusive language. Security personnel were summoned, and a formal complaint was lodged.”
Allegations by Rakesh Kumar
In his defense, Rakesh Kumar claimed that Panchayat Technical Staff Ranjeet Kumar embezzled ₹7.15 lakh by constructing a drainage system on his village’s private land. Rakesh alleged that despite receiving an order for Ranjeet Kumar’s dismissal from the Panchayati Raj Department’s Joint Secretary, ADM Vinay Kumar has delayed action for five months. “I approached him to inquire about the case, but he threatened to kill me,” Rakesh stated.
