Ariyari Police Station Chief Accused of Threats and False Charges, Victim Seeks Justice from SP

Sheikhpura,Dharmendra Kumar, 6th January 2025: Rukmini Devi, a resident of Camera village in the Ariyari block of Sheikhpura district, has leveled serious allegations against Ariyari Police Station Chief Sunil Kumar Rajvanshi. She has appealed to Superintendent of Police (SP) Baliram Chaudhary for justice, claiming that she and her family have been victims of threats and false legal charges orchestrated by the officer.

Grievance Submitted to SP
In a written complaint to the SP, Rukmini Devi recounted a harrowing incident from April 29, 2023, when her two sons were attacked by criminals who opened fire on them. The attack led to the death of her son Shatrughan on the spot, while her other son was left injured.

According to the complaint, the station chief allegedly shielded the perpetrators and failed to submit an incident report to the court. These omissions, she claims, have denied her family justice.

Claims of Threats and Intimidation
Masoodan Ram, another individual involved in the matter, alleged that the police chief pressured them to withdraw the case and even resorted to threats and verbal abuse. He accused Rajvanshi of attempting to entangle them in false cases to suppress their pursuit of justice.

Police Station Chief Denies Allegations
In response, Police Station Chief Sunil Kumar Rajvanshi dismissed the accusations as baseless and without merit.

Questions Raised About Policing and Governance
This case has sparked significant questions about policing practices and the claims of good governance in Bihar. Will justice be delivered to the victims? The unfolding of this case remains to be seen.
