Nitish Government Committed to Empowering Youth Through Education: Sumit Kumar Singh
Patna, December 13, 2024, Vikas Kumar Ojha : In a gathering held on Friday at the Janata Dal (United) state headquarters in Patna, Bihar’s Rural Development Minister Ashok Choudhary and Science, Technology, and Technical Education Minister Sumit Kumar Singh addressed issues raised by citizens from various districts. The ministers directed concerned officials to ensure prompt resolutions to the grievances presented. JDU MLC Sanjay Kumar Singh, popularly known as ‘Gandhiji,’ was also present during the event.
Ashok Choudhary Criticizes Lalu, Backs “One Nation, One Election”
Speaking to journalists, Minister Ashok Choudhary reiterated JDU’s long-standing support for the “One Nation, One Election” policy, emphasizing its benefits for the country. He pointed out that frequent elections lead to a misuse of public resources and disrupt developmental activities.
Addressing questions on energy policy, Choudhary said, “One Nation, One Tariff has been a priority for our government, and we are optimistic about achieving a resolution soon.”
He also criticized RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, stating, “Lalu Prasad Yadav has never been loyal to Congress. Whenever Congress has weakened at the national level, he has worked to suppress it further in Bihar.” Choudhary dismissed RJD’s traditional MY (Muslim-Yadav) vote bank as fractured and asserted confidence in the NDA coalition’s prospects for the 2025 state elections, claiming they would secure 225 seats.
Sumit Kumar Singh Promises Librarian Recruitment and Youth Empowerment
Science and Technology Minister Sumit Kumar Singh shared updates on the government’s initiatives for youth empowerment. He announced that the recruitment process for librarians in Bihar would soon commence and is expected to be completed within the current fiscal year.
“Our government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is committed to equipping the youth at every level. We aim to provide them with tools for success, whether it be through education or skill development,” Singh added.
Focus on Development and Policy
The event showcased JDU’s focus on addressing public grievances and advancing state-wide developmental policies. While Choudhary pushed for unified election systems and energy reforms, Singh’s focus remained on educational opportunities for Bihar’s youth.
The ministers’ statements further underlined their party’s confidence in the upcoming electoral battle while delivering key policy promises aimed at development and governance.
