December 26th 2024, Vikas Kumar Ojha, Patna: The Bihar government has introduced the Sangrahan Portal (sangrahan.bsphcl.co.in) to streamline electricity bill payments for industrial and government electricity consumers. Designed specifically for government departments, central/state PSUs, private organizations, and large consumers, the portal enables efficient management and payment of multiple electricity connections through a unified platform.
The portal offers features like login ID and password creation, tagging/untagging of electricity connections, and bulk tagging capabilities. Users can view all tagged connections and their outstanding dues in one place, enabling consolidated bill payments in a single transaction. Payment options include various digital methods as well as RTGS/NEFT, ensuring convenience and flexibility for consumers.
The platform benefits users by saving time and effort, enabling consolidated payments, and automatically updating payment records. For the power distribution companies (DISCOMs), it eliminates the need for manual receipts, simplifies reconciliation processes, and automates payment collections from government departments and large consumers.
Currently available for central/state PSUs, private organizations, and large consumers, the portal will also be accessible to Bihar government departments by the end of the fiscal year.
Energy Secretary and BSPHCL CMD, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Pal, remarked, “The Sangrahan Portal serves as a digital bridge between our consumers and DISCOMs. It will not only simplify bill payments for large consumers but also promote transparency and operational efficiency.”
