Patna, Vikas Kumar Ojha, December 18th 2024: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the ‘Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak’ mobile application tomorrow, 19th of December 2024, at a ceremony in Sankalp, Patna. Developed under the Rural Works Department, this Android-based app aims to enhance the transparency and accountability of road maintenance in Bihar’s rural areas.
The app empowers citizens to directly report issues such as potholes, damaged road edges, and other road-related concerns to the responsible authorities. It provides a platform for public participation in ensuring the upkeep of rural roads. The initiative is expected to significantly improve road maintenance efforts across the state.
The app includes a comprehensive list of 63,000 kilometers of rural roads under maintenance across all blocks in Bihar. Users can select their respective block roads and report issues by uploading photos of problems like potholes. Once a complaint is registered, the responsible authority will resolve the issue within a specified timeframe and update the status on the app. After the problem is resolved, the officials will upload photos of the repaired site, ensuring transparency in the process.
By integrating this advanced technology, the app aims to improve rural traffic conditions and accelerate infrastructure development through active public participation. It bridges the gap between citizens and the government, providing a direct communication channel. Users can upload detailed descriptions and images of damaged roads, making it easier for authorities to address issues promptly.
The ‘Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak’ app will be available for download on the Google Play Store. Citizens are encouraged to use the app to register their complaints and contribute to the improvement of Bihar’s road infrastructure.
