Gopalganj, December 9, 2024, Namo Narayan Mishra: The huge breakthrough that Gopalganj police have had to capture is one of the most dreaded criminals robbing the persons traveling by highways and even black-mailing them with vulgar video of the crime, in Uttar Pradesh. It was reported that Ankush Kumar Mishra, of the village of Hafua under the Kushinagar district has been arrested along with seizure of 17,000 cash, two ornaments snatched from victims’ bodies and the mobile he had used for commissioning crimes.
The Kuchaykot police conducted the operation in the Teriya police station area of the Teriya region in Uttar Pradesh. The criminal caught is the son of the Balindra Mishra. – Ankush Kumar Mishra.
SDPO Pranjal said that on November 25, five unidentified thieves snatched a man by the name of Amit Kumar from Chhavi village that falls within the jurisdiction of Manjha police station near Narahwa Kuti in Kuchaykot. The thieves intimidated the victim with weapons and took away 32,000 rupees and two gold rings from him. They also clicked an obscene video of the victim and threatened to leak it if he informed the authorities about the incident.
After the complaint, Kuchaykot police filed a case against the unknown culprits and initiated technical investigation and human intelligence work. After the investigation, police arrested Ankush Kumar Mishra from his home in Hafua village, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Police have recovered 17,000 rupees, the stolen gold rings, and the mobile phone used in the crime.
The criminal has now confessed to the crime and was arrested. The police are now conducting raids to catch the rest of the suspects.
