Vikas Kumar Ojha, Consultant Editor, News Life Network, 25th December 2025, Patna: A grand school celebration at DAV Public School, BSEB Colony, Patna offered a vibrant blend of academic excellence and cultural richness, reflecting the true spirit and core values of the DAV movement. The programme, marked by dignity, discipline, and enthusiasm, left a lasting impression on all present.
The event began with a warm welcome by the stage hosts, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp amid the sacred chanting of the Deep Mantra. This was succeeded by a soulful collective rendition of the DAV anthem, which filled the atmosphere with grace and spiritual solemnity. Floral bouquets were presented to the dignitaries, after which A. C. Jha, Principal, DAV BSEB Colony and Assistant Regional Officer, Bihar Zone-K, delivered the welcome address, adding depth and dignity to the occasion.
The cultural segment opened with an energetic welcome dance performed by students of Class IX, earning enthusiastic appreciation from the audience. The highlight of the programme was the inspiring address by Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Vijay Sinha, who attended as the Guest of Honour, and Energy Minister of the Bihar Government, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, the Chief Guest. Both dignitaries encouraged students to pursue knowledge with honesty, dedication, and commitment, while underscoring the vital role of education in nation-building.
On the occasion, the school’s e-magazine ‘Prachi Prabha’ was released, showcasing the creative and literary talents of students. During the talent felicitation ceremony, students selected in prestigious examinations such as IIT, NEET, CLAT, and QET, along with those securing over 90 percent marks in Classes X and XII, were honoured. Alumni were also felicitated, strengthening the emotional bond between the institution and its former students. In addition, employees completing 25 years of dedicated service were presented with the Service Excellence Award.
The cultural performances added colour and charm to the event. Students of Classes II and III presented Shiv Tandav, while Class IX students performed a folk song. Delightful dance performances by young children and a vibrant Rajasthani dance by students of Classes V to VII captivated the audience and enriched the celebration.
The programme was further elevated by the inspiring address of S. K. Jha, Regional Officer, DAV Public Schools, Bihar Zone. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by A. K. Jha, followed by the peace prayer, marking the formal conclusion of the ceremony.
Later, the much-awaited ‘Flavour Fiesta’ was inaugurated, offering a variety of cuisines for parents and students. The initiative served as a beautiful way to bid farewell to 2025 and warmly welcome 2026.
The entire programme truly lived up to the school’s motto — “Where culture and knowledge converge” — leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all attendees.
