Gaya, 8th April 2026, Abhishek Kumar: A daring daylight robbery has been reported from Imamganj, raising concerns over rising crime in the region.
Armed Robbers Target CSP Branch
The incident took place at a Customer Service Point (CSP) of Punjab National Bank located on Pankardih Main Road. According to CSP operator Deepak Kumar, three miscreants arrived on a motorcycle and stormed into the branch.
One of the attackers allegedly pulled out a pistol and threatened the staff before looting approximately ₹2.07 lakh from the cash counter.
CCTV Captures the Crime
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the branch, which is expected to provide crucial leads to investigators.
Accused Flee, Police Launch Probe
After committing the robbery, the accused fled the scene before locals could react. Bank staff raised an alarm, but the suspects managed to escape.
Police have been informed and have launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and trace the accused using CCTV footage.
