Rohtas, 31st December 2024, Mithilesh Kumar: Senior BJP leader and former MP of Aurangabad, Sushil Kumar Singh, met with Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar at the Dehri police superintendent office regarding allegations of murder against the Traffic DSP in the recent Badal murder case in Sasaram. Singh assured the victim’s family of justice and demanded that the investigation be handed over to the CID for impartial proceedings.
Singh stated, “The Rohtas police will no longer investigate the Badal murder case. The government has directed the CID to conduct the inquiry. The roles of the DSP and his bodyguard, reported to be suspicious, will be thoroughly examined, and the guilty will face strict action. The Bihar government is committed to ensuring justice for the victim’s family.”
On Prashant Kishor and Alleged Hijacking of Student Protests
Responding to Prashant Kishor’s remarks criticizing the NDA government for labeling Lalu Yadav’s tenure as “jungle raj” while allegedly enabling “officer raj,” Singh emphasized that democracy provides everyone the right to protest peacefully.
Singh alleged that Kishor attempted to hijack the ongoing student protests but faced rejection from the students. “When his hijacking plan failed, his associates resorted to abusing and threatening the students. This backfired, and he had to retreat empty-handed,” Singh added.
He further remarked, “Those who claim to bring ‘Suraj’ (good governance) have displayed behavior that raises doubts about their intentions. Students clearly rejected their attempts to exploit the movement for personal agendas, and this exposes the true face of such leaders.”
The incident reflects ongoing tensions in Bihar over various issues, including allegations of police brutality and mishandling of investigations.
