Gopalganj Police Cracks CSP Loot Case, Arrests Three

Gopalganj, December 18, 2024, Namo Narayan Mishra: The Gopalganj police have made significant progress in solving the CSP loot case that occurred two weeks ago in the Thawe police station area. Three accused individuals have been arrested, and ₹50,000 in cash along with four mobile phones have been recovered from their possession.

Sadar SDPO Pranjal Kumar shared details of the case, stating, “The CSP loot incident involved six criminals, led by mastermind Manish Srivastava, who is listed among the district’s top-ten offenders. Initially, we arrested Manish, and his confession led us to two other accused. Further efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining culprits.”

The case dates back two weeks when armed assailants executed a well-planned robbery at a Customer Service Point (CSP) in the Thawe area, making off with cash and valuables. Acting swiftly, the police formed a team to investigate the incident.

Manish Srivastava was arrested first, and his interrogation provided vital leads. Following his disclosure, the police tracked and arrested two of his accomplices. In addition to the arrests, the recovery of ₹50,000 cash and mobile phones marks a significant breakthrough in the case.

Pranjal Kumar assured that efforts are ongoing to capture the remaining three criminals involved in the loot. “We are conducting raids and will ensure that all individuals responsible for this crime are brought to justice,” he added.

The success of this operation has brought relief to the local community, as CSP outlets often serve as lifelines for financial transactions in rural areas. The police’s swift action and the arrests have reinforced public trust in law enforcement.

The investigation continues, with the police confident of resolving the case entirely in the coming days.
