Jehanabad,Pawan Kumar, December 23rd, 2024: Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar participated in the Bihar Child Science Research Program-2024 at Kurma Sanskriti School, Jehanabad, where he highlighted the pressing need to balance scientific advancements with the preservation of human values.
Speaking at the event, the Governor stressed that while scientific achievements have provided humanity with incredible tools for progress, they must be rooted in empathy and collective welfare. “Despite the rapid advancements in science, the erosion of human virtues is alarming. Wars and conflicts between nations are often the result of a lack of understanding and compassion,” he remarked. He emphasized that Indian culture has always fostered collective growth and well-being, blending tradition with a scientific outlook.
The Governor also toured an exhibition showcasing science models and research projects by students. He praised the creativity and dedication of young minds, noting that such programs inspire a scientific temperament and innovative spirit. Projects ranged from disaster mitigation techniques for earthquakes and lightning strikes to sustainable agricultural practices and pollution control solutions.
Addressing the students, the Governor said, “You are the future of our nation. Use science not just for innovation but for the betterment of society. Let your ideas bring positive change to the lives of others.” He also urged educators to instill ethical and cultural values alongside fostering scientific inquiry in young learners.
Earlier, the event was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Students from various districts of Bihar were honored by the Governor for their outstanding research contributions. Projects addressing safety measures for natural disasters, advancements in agricultural techniques, and eco-friendly technologies were particularly appreciated.
The Governor expressed his pride in witnessing the ingenuity of young scientists and innovators. “It is inspiring to spend time with students who are not just thinking of ideas but working on solutions for real-world problems,” he added.
The event concluded with the Governor encouraging all participants to pursue science with purpose, blending technical knowledge with humanity’s greater good.
