“INDI Alliance in Disarray, Lacks Vision and Cohesion”: Vijay Kumar Sinha

“Congress Paying for Its Past Mistakes; Lalu Yadav Also Distancing Himself”: Bihar Deputy CM

Patna, December 13, 2024, Vikas K Ojha : Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has criticized the INDI alliance, describing its current state as one of utter disarray. Using the adage “Jyada Jogi Math Ujaad” (Too many leaders spoil the cause), he claimed the alliance is riddled with internal contradictions, with each party vying for leadership.

Internal Conflict and Congress’s Decline

Speaking to reporters, Sinha said, “Every leader and party within the INDI alliance sees themselves as the self-proclaimed frontrunner. While the public has consistently rejected them in elections, they are now busy discrediting each other.”

He took aim at Congress, calling it the most pitiable among the alliance members. “Congress rendered itself irrelevant in Bihar by safeguarding Lalu Prasad’s regime at its own expense. Ironically, Lalu himself is now lobbying for others, leaving Congress to face the consequences of its past actions,” he remarked.

Visionless Alliance with Contradictory Stances

Sinha stressed that any alliance must be founded on ideology or a vision for development, but INDI, according to him, lacks both. “This alliance came together solely to claim political power. Now, without achieving that goal, its inherent contradictions are being exposed. It has failed to present a report card, an agenda, or a vision to the public in any election, including the general election.”

Mocking the alliance, Sinha said, “Their journey began with luxurious dinner parties in five-star hotels. Unsurprisingly, their agenda remains limited to mutton recipes and cutting cakes in helicopters. On every issue, they have as many opinions as they have leaders.”

Failure to Counter NDA’s Popularity

Sinha attributed the INDI alliance’s struggles to the widespread popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA coalition. “These leaders are well aware of NDA’s popularity. Whether facing elections or Parliament, they are at a loss for what to say to the people. They claim the Constitution is in danger, then cry about democracy being under threat. When these narratives fail, they try dividing society along caste and religious lines,” he asserted.

A Strategy of Chaos

Accusing the alliance of inciting unrest, Sinha added, “When all else fails, they resort to creating an atmosphere of violence and anarchy to mask their failures. Their lack of leadership, vision, and unity is evident, and the people of this country see through their tactics.”

In a sharp critique, Sinha concluded that the INDI alliance has no roadmap for development and only exists as a loose collection of self-serving parties struggling to stay relevant in Indian politics.
