Indian Railways to Honour 101 Employees and Officers with Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Padak

December 16th 2024, Vikas Kumar Ojha: The Indian Railways has announced that 101 of its employees and officers will be awarded the prestigious Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Padak for their exceptional contributions to various facets of Railway services. The awards ceremony will take place on December 21th 2024, at Bhartiya Mandapam, New Delhi, where the Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, will honour the recipients.

The awardees have been selected for their notable achievements across multiple categories:

  • Innovation and Revenue Enhancement: Fifteen employees have been recognised for groundbreaking efforts in innovation, enhancing Railway revenue, improving productivity, reducing import dependency, and advancing indigenous technology.
  • Bravery and Heroism: Sixteen personnel have been commended for extraordinary bravery in safeguarding lives and Railway property, showcasing selfless dedication to the safety of others.
  • Revenue Protection: Seventeen employees have contributed significantly to boosting Railway revenue by preventing ticketless travel and addressing revenue theft.
  • Operations and Safety: Twenty-two officers and staff members have been honoured for their outstanding contributions to Rail operations, safety, security, and the enhanced protection of Railway assets.
  • Timely Project Completion: Sixteen employees have achieved remarkable success in completing critical Railway projects within record time.
  • Excellence in Sports: Two sportspersons who have excelled in national and international competitions, bringing pride to Indian Railways, will also be recognised.
  • Departmental Contributions: Thirteen officers and employees from medical, personnel, track maintenance, and other key departments have been selected for their exemplary service.

The selected employees represent various railway zones, including Central Railway, East Coast Railway, East Central Railway, Eastern Railway, North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, Northern Railway, North Western Railway, South Central Railway, South Eastern Central Railway, South Eastern Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway, West Central Railway, and Western Railway.

This recognition reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to fostering excellence and appreciating the contributions of its workforce across diverse roles.
