Rohtas, December 10, Mithlesh Kumar: The Rohtas police launched an investigation and action against Kakku Khan for moving around public spaces with private bodyguards and armed bouncers.
Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP) Roshan Kumar said, “Zahid Parvez alias Kakku Khan, who resides at Subhash Nagar in Dehri, was often spotted in public places with private bodyguards and armed bouncers. After this, the authorities have begun an inquiry and taken strict action.”.
The SP pronounced that carrying private bodyguards with weapons into public spaces violates the rules unless the person was a licensed gun holder, a representative, or a businessman acting within legal parameters. Violation of this rule could mean seizure of the weapon, as well as cancellation of the weapon permit, and additional penalties under the relevant law.
Besides, instructions have been given to all police station in-charges and Outpost (OP) in-charges to be alert and ensure strict enforcement of these provisions.
The action highlights an unyielding stance against the misuse of armed security and violations of public order under the law.
