Rohtas, 22nd December 2024, Mithilesh Kumar: In Rohtas district’s Dawath, RJD’s Buxar MP Sudhakar Singh criticized Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s ‘Pragati Yatra,’ set to commence tomorrow. Singh labeled the initiative as a “political tourism” effort and claimed it holds no relevance to Bihar’s development.
Singh remarked that Nitish Kumar is struggling to assert his role within the NDA, especially after Amit Shah’s statement that the leader would be chosen post-elections. According to Singh, the ‘Pragati Yatra’ is solely a means for Kumar to bolster his political standing in the NDA, rather than an effort to advance Bihar’s progress.
Mocking the renaming of the yatra, Singh quipped that Nitish Kumar, influenced by his alliance with the BJP, now seems to have adopted the trend of renaming projects and programs—something BJP leaders often practice to stay in media headlines.
The remarks come as Nitish Kumar prepares to embark on the yatra aimed at assessing developmental work, though opposition leaders are skeptical of its intent.
