Rohtas, Mithilesh Kumar, April 25th, 2026 Amid intensifying heatwave conditions and soaring temperatures in Rohtas district, the Health Department has gone on high alert and established a dedicated advanced heat wave treatment ward at Sasaram Sadar Hospital.
With temperatures in Sasaram crossing 43 degrees Celsius, normal life has been severely affected, prompting authorities to take emergency health preparedness measures. The specially created heat wave ward has been equipped to treat patients suffering from heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses.
Hospital officials said the ward includes air-conditioned facilities to provide immediate relief to affected patients, along with essential medicines and advanced medical equipment for emergency treatment.
The Health Department has appointed experienced doctors as nodal officers for the ward and deployed a separate medical response team to handle emergency situations round the clock.
Authorities have also appealed to residents to remain cautious during the extreme weather, avoid unnecessary outdoor movement during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and seek immediate medical attention in case of symptoms related to heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
Officials stated that the district administration and hospital authorities are fully prepared to respond to any heatwave-related emergency as temperatures continue to remain dangerously high.
