Mithilesh Kumar, Rohtas, May 18th 2026: Panic spread in Bihar’s Rohtas district after the body of an unidentified young woman was found on a railway track under the Shivsagar police station area on Sunday.
The incident came to light after local residents spotted the body lying near the railway line and informed the police. Soon after receiving the information, a police team led by Ritesh Kumar reached the spot and began an investigation.
Police took the body into custody and sent it to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem examination. Officials said the identity of the deceased woman has not yet been established despite questioning people in the surrounding areas.
According to preliminary observations, police suspect that the woman may have died after being hit by a train. However, authorities said the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the postmortem report is received.
The mysterious circumstances surrounding the case have sparked speculation among local residents. Questions regarding who the woman was, how she reached the railway track, and whether the incident was an accident or involved foul play remain unanswered.
A large crowd gathered at the scene following the recovery of the body, while police stated that all possible angles are being investigated.
