Katihar, Menarul, 8th April 2026: A shocking case has emerged from Barsoi in Bihar’s Katihar district, where a minor dispute over online gaming turned violent. On Tuesday evening, a 19-year-old youth, identified as Md. Alam, was allegedly shot by his close friend Razaul alias Raja. The two were known to be good friends and frequently spent time together playing online games. The incident has created panic and concern among residents in the area.

According to available information, both youths were playing popular online games like PUBG and Free Fire when an argument broke out over money transactions related to the game. What started as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated into a heated confrontation. Eyewitnesses claim that in a fit of anger, the accused said, “Why play fake games? Let’s play the real game,” and immediately pulled out an illegal firearm and opened fire.
The bullet struck Md. Alam in the leg, causing him to collapse on the spot in pain. Hearing the gunshot, nearby residents rushed to the scene and immediately took the injured youth to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Barsoi.
