Begusarai, Jeevesh Tarun, 16th December 2024: A shocking case has emerged from Begusarai, where a teenage girl ended her life by hanging after allegedly being blackmailed by her boyfriend. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the area, leaving the family devastated and the village abuzz with discussion.
The incident took place in Rasidpur village under Bachhwara police station limits. The deceased, Usha Kumari (name changed), a resident of Samastipur district, was staying at her maternal cousin’s house for her education.
According to family members, Usha was in a relationship with a young man who reportedly exploited her private photos and videos to blackmail her. The accused allegedly pressured Usha to marry him and threatened to leak her private images and videos when she refused. Unable to bear the constant harassment, Usha reportedly took the drastic step of hanging herself.
Following the incident, local residents informed the Bachhwara police station. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem at Begusarai Sadar Hospital.
