Rohtas, Mithilesh Kumar, April 22nd 2026: Police in Rohtas district have successfully solved a tempo robbery case that took place on April 18 under the Karbandiya police station limits. Acting swiftly, the police recovered the stolen auto-rickshaw and arrested four accused, including a minor.
According to reports, on the night of April 18, tempo driver Anil Kumar Ram was returning home when a group of criminals, who were already lying in wait on the Old GT Road, intercepted him. The accused allegedly threatened him with weapons and looted his auto before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, an FIR was registered at Karbandiya police station, and a special operation was launched to track down the culprits. During raids conducted in the Dhanakdha and Kanchanpur areas, police managed to apprehend four individuals, including a minor.
Police officials identified Vishal Kumar, a resident of Dhanakdha, as the mastermind of the gang. Two other accused, Pintu Kumar and Sunny Kumar, were arrested near Tarachandi.
Sasaram SDPO-1 Dilip Kumar stated that Vishal Kumar is a habitual offender, and further investigation is underway to uncover any additional links or involvement in other crimes.
